..MoNkEy-InG biznez,y'all..

..i planned to start my post for the day, much much earlier than now.unfortunately upon opening the "new post" page in blogger,i remembered that i need to update some stuff in the system.one thing lead to another.finally, after finish savouring my 1st meal for the day,a healthy chicken mayo sandwich and a box of Nestle's Bonus soya bean drink with honeydew,i could finally write these words that you reading right now..

..i realised, being born in the monkey year i am somewhat "like a monkey".not literally speaking,OF COURSE but maybe the "nature" of a monkey..

-----------------------------------------------------------------

..the above entry was my half way-thru-suddenly-got-stuff-to-do posting.after settling my task,i couldn't think of how to continue with my posting.i was gonna blog about monkeys, its nature and fables & myths related to this magnificent creature,LOL..but i was stuck.DEAD END.no more ideas to blog.

..i wonder why i keep on getting this "writer's block" syndrome.once i asked Acat, from where did he get all the ideas to blog?'cause he's working, just like me.but whenever he has some time to steal,he can post say,2 entries per day..according to him, writing is like a therapy.a means of venting out some thoughts, ideas, feelings etc etc

..humh,interesting notion.but still it doesn't help me with my case..well,whatever..

..that made me think, what's my therapy?first thought that crossed my mind would be retail-therapy..i'm such a shop-a-holic!!

..there!i've confessed to the whole blog-a-sphere,what a spend-thrift i am..hahaha!whenever i have extra cash PLUS there is a sale going on,i would definitely buy something eventhough i don't really need it.but now,i have my hunny to restrain me from spending so much.whenever i grabbed something from a shop,he will asked me the magic question..

"do you really need this?if not, then let's just leave.."

..he's cruel you might say.but he's just being cruel to save my ass from being "pokai" come the middle of the month.but whenever i feel really down,i'll buy something anyway, just to cheer me up..without my hunny's knowledge,of course :-p

..but what relieves me the most, the time when i am most relaxed,is to cuddle up in my favourite chair with a good book in hand.i just LOVE books!eversince i could remember i've always had a book in my hand.and for most of my birthdays,i received books as gifts.during my youngster days,i spent most of my allowance on books.my favourite series while in school was Sweet Valley Twins & Sweet Valley High.and i still have the whole series, kept somewhere,at the back of my bookshelf..

..but today would be my most relaxed & laid back "working day".im having my french fries, sitting crossed-leg in my big comfy chair, happily typing away.later this evening,i'll join my fellow collegues for archery at the Sunway Star Archery for our monthly ISS Rec Club activities..

..sigh..only one sentence to end this posting.."i just LOVE FrIDaY"..njoy your weekend peeps.see ya on Monday!!

..all in a day's work..

..got this from whodsey..

..A large company, feeling it was time for a shakeup, hired a new CEO.
This new boss was determined to rid the company of all slackers.

..On a tour of the facilities, the CEO noticed a guy leaning on a wall.
The room was full of workers and he wanted to let them know that he
meant business!

..The new CEO walked up to the guy leaning against the wall and asked,
"How much money do you make a week?" A little surprised, the young
fellow looked at him and replied, "I make $300.00 a week. Why?"
The CEO then handed the guy $1,200 in cash and screamed, "Here's four
weeks' pay, now GET OUT and don't come back."

..Feeling pretty good about himself, the CEO looked around the room and
asked,"Does anyone want to tell me what that goof-off did here?"

..From across the room came a voice, "
Pizza delivery guy from
Domino's."

Moral of the story:Jangan-laa perasan bagus.Selidik sebelum bertindak..

..starting slow on mOnDaY morning..oh yeah!

..i think i've finally understood the meaning of "writer's block".for the whole of last week i can't even string one whole sentence without having to re-write it again and finally deleting everything.that's quite suprising as i'm the type who couldn't stop yakking! :-p..

..nways,i'm proud to say my weekend was rather productive.usually id waste the saturday and sunday by waking up pretty late, staggering towards the kitchen (thanx to the smell of food, hehehe) and after nibbling on whatever is left of breakfast,i'd watch some tv..a lazying-around kind of weekend..

..but not this week, not this weekend.on saturday i woke up at 7,watched some morning cartoons wif my 14-yr old bro (boys are so immature) and bathe.didn't even eat breakfast (diet maa!!).waited for my mum to get ready and then we set off towards Citibank (mum has some dispute with the Credit Card people.i think sure they "kena basuh" by her, :-p)..then,to HSBC in town.

..after all the boring2 task, the fun finally begins,hehe..wat could be more enjoyable than SHOPPING!!yeehaa!bring out all the..cards (it's not salary time yet,so hafta swipe2 lor).Me & mum set off to this textile shop (sorry, not Gulati's ya..or Euro Moda pun x main dah). The name of the shop is....(drum roll please)...ISETAN..

..i'm not sure whether it's under the ISETAN group,as in the departmental store, but all their textiles are imported from Japan & China.me & mum were having our shopping frenzy.within less than an hour we spent RM300.00 and mum intends on coming back next weekend!..yippie!!

..it' was a good thing mum had her mengaji class at 1 pm and my class was at 2 'cause if not we would've stayed longer and spent more..women,shopping & credit cards, ahahaha.if my dad was there,i'm sure he'll pengsan..

..that saturday nite,i was at Subang attending my Wak Apau's kenduri doa selamat 'cause my cousin is going New Zealand on the 13th to further studies.it was a real treat as i havent seen my cousins and aunts&uncles for quite some time.it was a good time to sit down & catch up on things.the highlight of the evening was the photography session wif Joe Flizzow from the group Too Phat (now there's only Joe as Malique has left the group/duo).Joe was a really nice guy (according to my dad& brother who sat at the same table as him).friendly, humble & respectful of others (again, this is coming from my dad..way to go Joe!)

..sunday started of pretty early as well but i was awaken by the shrills of laughter of my two brothers.after sending my mum to her mengaji class,i revised my lecture notes for the week (rajin kan?) and went window shopping with mum at Ampang Point after her class.it was a pretty laid back sunday..

..and then,we are back to Monday.sigh..back to the normal office chores & tasks.but i'm sure time will pass by and soon we'll be gleefully greeting Friday..

..lonely,i feel so lonely..

..Rain,rain go away.Come again another day..

..sigh.it's started to rain again.it was drizzling for a while but now it's raining.lonely?i sure feel that way.all alone in the finance room, with my manager aka sifu on MC (too much stress at work) plus the fact that it's raining, makes the room much colder and me feeling lonelier.sigh..

..i love rain.i really do.rain has been my saviour during TKC days when we have joggings for house trainings.
Note:in TKC we were divided into 4 houses:Siti Zawiyah,Selindang Delima,Tun Fatimah & Mahsuri.sort of like a sports house but our dorms are also based on our houses.

..you can imagine the delightful glee, for us juniors, whenever it rained in the afternoon, during prep class.in our hearts-->direct translation of 'dalam hati'.."Thank god it rained!Let it last til the evening..sampai malam pun xpe".. (this aplies to all, regardless of your house.i mean.c'mon?who wanna jog 2-3 rounds, around the college when you can snuggle in bed)..
thus the above mentioned song doesn't apply during TKC days, hehehe!

..rain has also been an excuse not to attend morning or afternoon lectures during my uni days.since i stayed outside the campus,it's kind of a hassle to walk & wait for the bus/cab in the rain (this often results to my attendance being 'ngam-ngam" 80% to qualify me,to sit for the final exams).

..so you see,the rain has helped me a lot during my days as a student.i'm much grateful to the rain for the reason to escape joggings & lectures.if it weren't for the heavy showers,i'd hafta drag my lazy bum,and comply to jogging or walking to class.instead, the rain made it possible for me to snuggle under my comfy (that's my nickname for my comforter) and sleep or catch up wif my reading or juz simply lie down & watch tv.

..my mum is a rain lover as well.everytime it rains she'll go.."Hujan-laa lebat lebat".She likes it best when it rains at night so that she can sleep better 'cause it's not so hot (me thinks it's b'cause she likes to snuggle up to me dad, hik!)

..nway,the muslims believe that the rain brings prosperity.what does the rain mean to you?

where the end meets the beginning (not the other way around)

..what crap nonsense?Duh?!end meets beginning?!i know,i know..it should be the other way around.but hey!it's my blog.suka hati-laa,kan? :-D.yup folks!the end is here, the end of the weekdays thus the beginning of the weekend.not so esthatic 'bout it but welcomes the short break from the hustle&bustle (busy ke pun?!) of the week.
..i was contemplating on what to wear today.baju kurung/kebaya or to go smart casual?the decision was made for me when i woke up at 7.45am dis morning.where got time to iron the baju?thus,i'm in my capris and blouse.senang,x yah gosok!
..wat to blog about?all that's in my head is my class tomorrow & the much-needed meet up wif Juj & Dekna.miss this two lovely ladies.eversince Juj joined her new company, she has been "buried" in her workplace, much alike Dekna.and i thot only audit firm does that to you!ehehe..nway,so many things to gossip & catch up.plus i owe Dekna a ride in my "new" car :-p
..my hunny "won" two tickets to the preview of The Fantastic Four.the screening was yesterday evening at TGV Sunway.we managed to get pretty good seats.much to my suprised, most of the patrons were from the young adult group.goes to show Hotlink is very much popular with the young adults, who prefers prepaid to postpaid plans.juz like yours truly :-D..
..nways,the movie was good.a good balance of humour & action,a dash of romance & jealousy and great effects.very well-written storyline.i would have given the whole session an A or 5star if it weren't for this unemployed critics seating next to me.
..the guy couldn't stop yakking!!from the moment the lights were dimmed, his mouth was "alight".he was making remark to every single cine-advert.i mean, the brad pitt advert wasn't that funny if you've watched it for a couple of dozen times!
..so,i was thinking maybe this guy would shut his mouth once the movie starts.
..he was until his mobile started ringing..urgh!!
..if was "kinda ok" to talk a call IF ONLY your volume was down (read:acceptably low).but this bugger was talking as if he owns the place or something.to make matters worse,he was giving directions to God-knows-who and it was getting pretty irritating.i couldn't stand it anymore!! (imagine smokes seeping out from the ears, face red due to rage)
..i shushed him.not once, not twice but 3 times,to no avail.pekak ke bodoh mamat ni?thank god i wasnt the only one who was pissed-off.those in the row infront of me started to turn & shushed the guy,as well.the thick-skinned d**b a** was still talking.finally one lady turned and said loudly "Excuse me?!" in a very irritated tone.that finally did it,thank god!he was quiet throughout the rest of the movie.
..these are the type of people who shouldn't be allowed in a cinema or at least be sent to "cinema-ettiquette" class.even before themovie screening, there is an advert on "don'ts in the cinema".i guess some people are juz ignorant.but is it worth the flying dagger-stares being sent to you or the loud shushing by other movie patrons?please-laa,be more considerate & civilized..
..fuih!was glad to get that out of my chest.yesterday i couldnt stop grumbling ( or mengomel-malay word for grumbling) throughout the journey home.one comment from my hunny..
"if you are so pissed off,go and lepas geram in your blog"
which is exactly what i did..

Wishing upon a star..

I wish I can blog during my LRT ride to work coz that's when I have my creative juices flowing, begging me to suck them up and paint a story with it,hehe..Nways,even with the canggih manggih gadgets & technology that is available presently,I can't.

My mobile isn't convenient enough to blog though it has WAP,GPRS and whatever other crap nonsense. The keypad is,well..inconvenient.I don't have an iPod coz I am stingy and very calculative when it comes to buying things that isn't so necessary to me.Thus,I keep my ideas and chanting it over and over again,so that I won't forget them upon reaching my office.

Nway,I wish I could make the LRT commuters more civilized and thoughtful.I know there are thousands of blogs on how uncourteous Malaysians, the KL folks are etc etc but I guess none of them (the commuters) blog or read blogs.'Cause the blog postings doesn't have any effect.

Take this morning for instance.I reached the Wangsa Maju station by 8.20am.Though I start work at 9,I like to be in,early.Upon reaching the paltform,I saw a huge crowd. To be expected of.Suddenly my phone rang.My Aunty Noni on the line, asking about the kenduri doa selamat at my uncle's place next weekend and how it clashes with the Akademi Fantasia 8th concert.

Good lord!My aunts and my mum,all AF fanatics.Their life for the whole of 8-10 weeks revolves around AF.Nway, back to my story..

One train came.Everyone rushed towards the door.Fine by me 'cause I'm in no rush at all.Few moments later another one came.Mind you,I was still on the line with my aunt.Normally I would step back and let everyone else pushed themselves to get in.But since I was on my mobile,I was immobilize.

I was pushed, shoved by the crowd behind me,into the train. And these people are ruthless! They act like total savages (maybe that was a tad too strong) but I can't seem to think of any other way to decribe their behaviour. The train was full to the brim but people still tried to pushed themselves in.

I know the reason for you, trying to cramp yourself into a full train,is because you are running late.Well, hello?!Plan ahead.

Rule #1 of taking public transport-ALWAYS expect the unexpected.
-Expect that the train will break down somewhere
-Expect that there'll be a huge crowd
-Expect that you'll only manage to get into the 2nd or 3rd train

If you know that you're gonna be late, wake up early, get to the station early and even if the train is late, you'll have ample time to take a later one.I guess the "last minute" attitude is the main contribution as to this "lrt riot".People tend to manage their time so that they'll reach office juz in time before the red dots/marks on their card (if you're still in the punch-card era).Waking up early to reach the station early is a huge sacrifice,it seems.Better to shove and push into the cramped train..

Can't wait for the day I can drive back to work. But even that is gonna be another "riot" on the road..sigh..

the time of the year..not Mega Sale..Harry Potter!!

I think I have split personality or some parts of me that hasn't fully, completely develope. That would be the childish part of me..I am proud to admit that I am an ardent, loyal, true fan of Harry Potter, heheh.Well, not so fanatic as in I have ALL HP's merchandise & stuff but loyal enough since the fact that I watched all HP movies, have all HP books (yeah I know, there are others like me) and I discussed HP immensely with fellow HP fans on what is actually the REAL story behind Harry Potter.

So,the new book "The Half Blood Prince" will be out on 16th July.I'm sure the scenario will be the same as the previous book release.I remember about the incident on an excerpt of the 5th book being published on the Internet few hours before it's worldwide release.Talk about the wonders & "efficiency" of piracy!Even books are not spared.

Nway,my 5th collection of HP series was quite special as it was given to me by a friend as a birthday gift. From Australia somemore, walaweh!I was glad to be spared of the "unruly" & "savage" riot that was happening in all MPH,Times & Kinokuniya.Apparently, people waited from the wee hours of morning (some even camped outside of the shopping mall,as in the case with Kinokuniya,KLCC) to be the first in line to get free copies or discounted rates on the book.Though I got mine a bit late but I still managed to read it.So nothing lost there.

And the movie release was even maddening.Dont even dream of trying to book for a ticket during the 1st week of release. The only option of being the first few hundreds to watch?Queue up in line at the cinema as early as 9am for an afternoon or evening show! Now that is madness!

To be frank,I'm actually looking forward to July 16th as to witness on how the die-hard fans of HP will fare out this year.Unfortunately it's a Saturday and I dont feel like getting my ass of the bed on the one of two days that I can wake up late. So,I will just leave it to the one of the most reliable source of info to keep me updated..No!no!not the news.Other bloggers posting,of course!

The life after..The journey continues

I'm bad when it comes to giving blog post titles.I can't seem to think of anything witty or attention-grabbing enough for my posts. But,suprisingly my "boring and dull" title manage to catch some comments from few readers.Thank you to Debby,Yamm,Acat & HcFoo for your delightful insights on my posts. You made this freshie wif broken English&lack of vocab writer more than pleased to blog further and to improve on her writings.Thank you to all!

I celebrated my 25th birthday last Saturday.I've always imagined my 25th,the turning of a new 1/4 of century, celebration to be special. Was it a wild one,you ask?Well, let me weave you one bedtime story and you be the judge,ahaha..

I was juz kidding.I woke up wif a wish from my mum PLUS an extra line..

"Happy Birthday Kak Long!Bangun-laa cepat!I need to go to the bank.."

Sigh.It was only 7.30 am and I have to start my chauffer routine.Since my dad has his own appoinment and both my sis & my mum can't drive,I had no choice but to get up,shower n drive my mum,1st to the morning market, then to the banks,my sister to the LRT station and finally to Secret Recipe to but my birthday cake.

After lunch,my bf was supposed to pick me up so that we can go shopping for my birthday gift.Around 3.30,my bf called up.His car couldnt start due to "weak" battery. So,I had to drive, again,to Damansara to help him out.My birthday "celebration" actually started somewhere around 5.30pm.But it wasn't really a party or anything.Juz a cake-cutting session by my baby bro,Ben (he gets to cut the cake on everyone's birthday),my other family members and my bf.After that,I went for my birthday gift shopping at OU with my bf and had dinner at Souled Out..Hummh,so much for celebration.

But,don't get me wrong.Even thoughI didn't have a wild, happening birthday,I am very much content and happy.Reason being,I received unexpected birthday wishes from my collegues;Debby,Ai Sim,Maria n my managers,a hamper from my company, sms wishes from my frens and cuzens plus 2 very precious phone call from my best friends,Ain who's in Dublin & Babed who is in Oxford.

Babed, caught me by suprised when she called my mobile while I was on my way to the morning market wif my mum.I saw the ++344 numbers and my first thot was "Ain calling me from Dublin".But when I heard the callers' voice,it was Babed!Boy,was I glad to hear from her.Havent heard from her since we last chatted over msn,a few months back.I was deeply touched that despite her rather "down" living condition, she spared some of her call cards credit to wish me happy birthday.Ain called up somewhere later in the evening. My mum picked up the call. When I heard my mum's voice and how enthusiastic she was,I knew it was Ain on the other line.

Hearing the voices of my two best friends was the best birthday gift ever.It beats any outrageous and hip-happening party, anyday.I guess,"special gifts" comes in any form or any kind. For me,the two calls were the highlight of my 25th birthday.

Oh,plus my brand new watch from my bf :-p..Lol!

The terror continues..in London

I was updated on the London bombing by my dad on the way to work this morning.Im driving, with my dad on the passanger seat, reading out loud on the disaster that struck London during the morning rush hour.First thought that struck my mind..

"Sure people blame Al-Qaeda for this attack.Terrorist making its stand.Sama macam 9/11"

True enough,as I walked into the Finance room,a fellow collegue dropped the invitable question.

"What are all these Qaeda people trying to prove?"

I stood dumbfouded at my cube, trying to come up with a quick but rational reply.Nothing came to mind. There I was, back from a "break from office" and was about to greet a hearty& chirpy "Good Morning!" when I was "attacked" with this question.

I felt a lil bit hurt and judged.Just because I'm a Muslim doesn't make me answerable for every outrage of attacks by other "derailed & physchotic" Muslims. The phrase "All for one,and one for all" doesn't apply here.

But I managed to compose myself and aswered meekly "I really don't know-laa".I mean, what was i supposed to say right? It's not as if I'm related to the Al-Qaeda clan or anything.Heck!I despised their act and their so-called "fulfilling their promise to London".

To quote from Bernama release..

A previously unknown group which calls itself the Organisation of Al-Qaeda Jihad in Europe claimed it caused the blasts and threatened similar attacks against Italy, Denmark and other "Crusader" states with troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. In a statement posted on the Internet, but which could not be authenticated, it said: "Heroic mujahedins carried out a sacred attack in London, and here is Britain burning in fear, terror and fright in the north, south, east and west."The group said the attacks were "in response to the massacres carried out by Britain in Iraq and Afghanistan.""We have repeatedly warned the government and people of Britain, and we have now fulfilled our promise and have carried out a sacred military attack in Britain," it said.

Islam does not condone the act of terrorism&brutality, despite for whatever cause it is for. There are other ways to make a stand and fight for your rights etc etc.I could go on and on about the harmonious way of Islam but these terrorist attacks will overshadow my stand to defend Islam, anyday. After all,due the New york attack, every other cry of outrage, regardless of the nature (i.e methods,outcome/aftermath effects) will be automaticallybe "another Al-Qaeda attack".

I grieved for the lost souls and those who were hurt.I couldn't say that I understand how the Britons feel, cause I don't.I really don't.But I'm relieved that none of my friends were involved in the incident. But one thing for sure,I hope there won't be any prank calls on "Twin Towers being attacked or any bomb scare" cause I would definitely be totally outraged myself!Imagine having to go down 61 floor beacuse some lunatic decided to get funny.

it's THE TIME of the year!!

As always,I'm the 1st one to arrive in the office..I like it that way.I like to be the only one in the office, but only in the mornings-laa.I dont really fancy being the last one to leave, hehehe.Made my usual cuppa as I didnt stop to buy my sandwich at Rotiboy.Hafta make do with "buskut kering".Switched on PC and the norm would be to check my outlook. What a suprise?!I got a card from Cobrastorm.Really sweet of her to send me a card.My mind was whirring with reasons forher to send an e- greeting.Well,I thot "Maybe she wants to say hi or juz a funny card or something".Really really thotful of her.

So I clicked at the link and what a suprise!?!She sent me a birthday greeting.I was so touched.Tho its kinda an advance one but what really pleased me was that she remembered my birthday!Thanx Debbie dear!I'll replay it again and again till my birthday comes. You really made my day!!
